BLURB (as in Goodreads)

Retells the Biblical story of how God protected Daniel in the lions’ den.

Every day Daniel woke up early because he wanted to pray. Daniel was one of the King’s best workers. He needed God’s help to do a good job. The King praised Daniel for his good works. This made the other workers angry and jealous. They tricked the King into signing a rule: “Anyone who prayed to God would be thrown into lion’s den.”

Daniel heard about the rule but he thought: “I’ll pray anyway.”

Later, Daniel was arrested and thrown into the lion’s den. But amazingly, he was safe because God sent his angel to shut the lion’s mouths. After that, the King made a new rule: everyone in his kingdom should pray to Daniel’s wonderful God.

We love this pocket book that simply taught children to love praying. The main character is also taken from the bible so that children already familiar with the story
